The Challenge.
When we first engaged with Meals on Wheels on the Central Coast, their CEO was navigating a period of growth following the recent departure of their Finance Manager. The organisation was delivering an important service to the community, but their financial systems and processes had not kept pace with growth. Reporting and inaccurate information were making it difficult for the Board and leadership to make informed decisions with confidence.
They needed to quickly stabilise the finance function, restore confidence in the numbers and put systems in place that could support the organisation’s next stage of growth.
The Approach.
Natasha, our fractional CFO, stepped into the business and got into the detail to understand what was driving the issues, identifying both the immediate fixes required and the longer-term improvements needed.
Her focus was not simply on correcting the numbers, but on creating a stronger finance function and looking at system improvements that would ultimately give the CEO and Board reliable information to better support decision-making.
The team harnessed Natasha’s skills and experience by being open and honest with the information that needed to be shared to help them achieve their outcomes.
The CFO Centre’s Solution.
Natasha implemented a new accounting system, introduced an external bookkeeper through one of our trusted partners, and ensured the accounts and financial reporting were accurate, up to date and reliable.
With the immediate finance issues stabilised, she has continued to support the organisation by streamlining Board reporting, identifying the skills and resources required for its next phase of growth, and laying the groundwork for future systems improvements, including a CRM implementation.
The client described Natasha as “an incredible support to the business”, highlighting not only her expertise and focus on delivery, but the genuine care she brings to both the organisation and its team.
